International History & Heritage Exhibition 2017 in Kolkata to put limelight on Nepal
KOLKATA, INDIA - Sabarna Sangrahashala, the unique family museum and Research Center of the Sabarna Roy Choudhury Paribar Parishad, and only of its kind in Bengal organizes International History & Heritage Exhibition every year in the month of February to create awareness among students and common people to study, conserve and preserve our rich cultural, literary and architectural heritage of the Indian subcontinent. Every year the Exhibition focuses on different themes and highlight unknown facts and information regarding history and heritage.
The exclusive Exhibition showcases rarest as well as priceless artifacts of ancient, medieval and modern periods. A gallery on numismatics and philately, besides seminar, Mega Open Quiz - Nostalgia, felicitations and a special cultural event dedicated to Wizard of Bengali Lyrics Sri Pronob Roy are a part of the four-day mega event.
The 12th edition of the International History and Heritage Exhibition shall be held from 5th--8th Feb 2017 between 10 AM to 9 PM at the museum premises at Saptarshi Bhawan, Baro Bari, Barisha, Kolkata- 700 008.
This year the Focal Theme is on the life and achievements of legendary personality Hemanta Mukherjee, celebrating 80 years of his first recording in 1937.
This time the Theme Country is Nepal. An exclusive gallery on the rich cultural heritage of Nepal shall be a special attraction. We will highlight and promote tourism of Nepal. The Nepal section has been named as "Naturally Nepal".The event is supported by the Government of Nepal.
The exhibition will be inaugurated by eminent film director Sri Gautam Ghosh, Haimanti Shukla, Monomoy Bhattacharya and Hon'ble Consul General, Consulate of Nepal in Kolkata, Sri Eaknarayan Aryal.
