Harvard Kennedy School hosting Smart Policy for Women’s Economic Empowerment in Kathmandu
KATHMANDU - On March 23rd, Evidence for Policy Design, at Harvard Kennedy School, in collaboration with IFMR LEAD in India, will bring together international scholars and policy actors from across South Asia in Kathmandu, Nepal, for an evening program on “Smart Policy Design for Women's Economic Empowerment.” Panelists will discuss the evidence base on how policy initiatives can affect female economic empowerment, and how the region’s women are faring in terms of labor force participation and economic activity.
Evidence for Policy Design is a program of the Harvard Kennedy School. This event is presented in collaboration with IFMR LEAD and the Nepal Administrative Services College.

Bimala Rai Paudyal, former member Nepal Planning Commission
Fauzia Viqar, Chairperson of the Punjab Commission on the Status of Women in Pakistan
Rohini Pande, EPoD Co-Director and Mohammed Kamal Professor of Public Policy at Harvard Kennedy School
